Anandpur: Throwing an open challenge to police unidentified miscreants snatched a cash bag containing Rs 1 lakh from an elderly man from Bridge Chhak under Anandpur police limits in Keonjhar district on Tuesday.
The victim identified as Tapan Jena of Adahuria village under same police limits had been to State Bank of India Anandpur branch and was returning by boarding a bus after withdrawing Rs 1 lakh in cash in the morning when the loot took place.
A group of two bike-borne miscreants targeted Tapan after he alighted the bus near Anandpur Bridge Chhak to snatch away the cash bag and drive away.
The victim lodged a loot case at Anandpur Police Station immediately in connection with the incident.
Police have launched a manhunt to trace the absconding robbers.
