Miscreants Rob Valuables Worth Rs 20 lakh From House In Odisha

Jharsuguda: Miscreants looted gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs 20 lakh from the house of a contractor in Bagadihi village in the wee hours of Thursday.

The victim Shyamlal Agarwal alleged that as many as 12 masked miscreants broke the window grill of the puja room and entered the house.

“They threatened me and my wife with sharp-edged weapons and asked me to hand over the keys of the almirah. All of them were in underwear and were talking in Gujarati and Jharkhandi,” alleged Agarwal.

The miscreants later tied Agarwal and his wife with a saree before escaping from the house. The miscreants also took away mobile phones and damaged motorcycles in the house premises.

Senior police officials including Jharsuguda SP visited the house and police have started an investigation into the incident.
