Bhubaneswar: Two miscreants including one minor, posing as baratis, have allegedly looted gold jewellery from a wedding venue in Kesura area of Bhubaneswar.
Reportedly, the miscreants crashed into the Pallavi mandap situated near Kesura square along with the baratis and had the feast.
Thereafter, they looted the bride’s gold jewellery taking advantage of the situation and fled from the spot.
Later when the family spotted that the gold jewellery were missing and immediately checked the CCTV footage of the wedding venue. They found that a youth along with a minor looted all the gold ornaments. The worth of the looted gold jewellery is expected to be more than Rs 2 Lakh.
The family have immediately filed a complaint with the Sahid Nagar police and the cops have initiated a probe into the loot case based on the CCTV footage.
