Balangir: Unidentified miscreants today allegedly looted cash worth Rs 3 lakh near Kantabanji this afternoon. The victim Tejuram Jal has lodged a formal police complaint in this connection.
Jal said that the miscreants came on a motorcycle and snatched away the cash bag. “I was on my way to Jharbahali after withdrawing the cash. I got off the vehicle near Kantabanji market to visit a cement shop when they snatched away the cash bag,” said Jal.
Police have started an investigation after receiving a complaint. “We strongly suspect the miscreants of chasing him from the bank. We are also trying to ascertain the involvement of veteran criminals in the crime,” said a police official.
