Miscreants Loot Gold, Cash From Woman In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: Bike-borne miscreants allegedly looted Rs 75,000 and gold ornaments from a woman on Kargil Road under Airfield Police limits here today.

As per reports, Subhadra Nayak, owner of a mobile phone shop in Pokhariput, was heading towards Master Canteen Square along with her relative on a scooter early this morning.

Suddenly, three bike-borne miscreants appeared out of nowhere and pushed her vehicle, after which the two fell down.

Further, the rogues threatened the duo with weapons and looted cash and gold ornaments from them.

The victim duo have been admitted to the Capital Hospital here for treatment. The condition of Subhadra is said to be critical.

The incident comes after an elderly couple was looted of cash and gold ornaments worth over Rs. 6 lakhs at Gayatri Nagar in Sisupalgarh.

Meanwhile, the Airfield police have started a probe into the incident. A manhunt has also been launched to nab the miscreants.
