Kendrapara: In yet another case of ATM loot in the state, unidentified miscreants stole cash from an SBI teller machine located at Korua Bazar under Patkura police limits in the district last night.
As per the report, a group of customers who reached the SBI ATM unit located at the Korua Bazar this morning to withdraw cash found the teller machine vandalized. They immediately intimated the matter to police.
While the bank authorities and police reached the spot late in the morning and took stock of the situation, the exact amount of cash stolen from the machine is yet to be assessed.
On the other hand, the incident has sparked resentment among the residents in the area. Locals have blamed police’s negligence for the loot taking into account the fact that the looted ATM is located only 200 metres away from the Kudanagari Police Outpost.
