Khordha: Four unidentified miscreants today looted cash worth Rs 94000 after hurling a bomb at the vehicle of a private finance company on Gediapalli-Gobindpur Road under Begunia police limits.
The driver of the vehicle has sustained severe injuries in the incident and has been admitted at the nearest hospital.
Police said that the incident took place at around 4.30 pm when the cash vehicle was on his way to the nearest bank. Two employees of the private finance company and a gunman were also present in the vehicle.
“ The victims told us that four men in two motorcycles chased them and hurled a bomb. Later they terrorised them and took away the cash bag. We have started an investigation into the incident,” said inspector in charge of Begunia police station, Rashmi Ranjan Sahu.
