Kendrapara: In more ATM loots in the state, miscreants decamped with cash after breaking a teller machine in Marshaghai Bazaar in kendrapara last night and made an failed attempt to steal currency from another in Bhadrak’s Chandbali.
The loot came to light this morning after a group of customers reached the Axis Bank ATM located near Juna Chhak in the market to withdraw money and found the unit vandalized. They immediately called up police and the concerned bank officials to inform.
While bank officials have reached the spot and conducted preliminary investigation, the exact amount of cash stolen from the ATM is yet to be assessed.
Later, in the morning another ATM of State Bank of India (SBI) located in Baligan area near Chandbali in Bhadrak district was found vandalized.
It seems the miscreants failed to open the cash chamber of the machine despite several attempts last night and escaped from the spot.
Police have reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.
