Dhenkanal: Tension prevailed in Khajuria village under kankadahada police limits in Dhenkanal district today after dead body of a local youth was found on the roadside with throat slit.
The deceased has been identified as Sarbeswar Mohanta (24) of Patharkata Sahi of the same village.
As per the report, Sarbeswar had gone missing after leaving for village market last evening for shopping.
While his family presumed that he might have gone to a relative’s house located in the neighbouring village Kharakahari, some locals found his body lying on the roadside in a pool of blood this morning.
Police rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy after getting intimation.
While the incident is believed to be fallout of a past enmity an investigation is underway in this direction.
