Baripada: Tension ran high in Mankadgenda village under Chandua police limits in Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday after some unidentified miscreants killed a youth by slitting his throat.
The deceased has been identified as Sanu Singh, son of Mangulu Singh of the same village.
As per a complaint filed by the deceased’s family members at the Chandua Police Station, he left home along with a group of person in some work last evening and didn’t return till late in the night. His body was spotted lying in a farmland located at a distance of nearly 10 feet from his house in the village this morning by some locals.
Grievous cut injury, possibly made by a sharp weapon, was seen on the neck of the deceased pointing at a foul play.
Chandua Police have rushed the body for autopsy after reaching the spot and are waiting for the report to decide its next course of action.
