Jajpur: Some unidentified miscreants have hurled bombs at Maneiganda sand quarry in Kharasrota river in Jajpur and one person has been killed in this connection.
The deceased has been identified as Surendra Das.
Reportedly, the bombs have been hurled following a group clash over sand mining here.
Das sustained critical injuries in the explosion and was immediately rushed to Binjharpur Community Health Centre (CHC).
He was later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) as his health condition deteriorated.
However, he lost his life while he was undergoing treatment.
On getting the information, Binjharpur police registered a case and initiated a probe into the matter.
