Bhubaneswar: Some unidentified armed miscreants allegedly attacked and looted a businessman in the capital city Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
Reportedly, the six-armed miscreants on three bikes intercepted the businessman, identified as Niranjan Sahoo, and asked me the route to Harirajpur.
Sahoo was returning to his house after closing his shop near the Sundarpada area, added reports.
The bike-borne miscreants tried to snatch Sahoo’s mobile phone and as he resisted, they attacked him with sharp weapons. As a result, he sustained critical injuries to his shoulder and hand. Thereafter the miscreants looted him of cash and escaped from the spot.
He immediately lodged a complaint with the Airfield Police. The cops have initiated a probe into the matter.
