Tangi: An unidentified miscreant looted a computer and several important documents after sneaking into the Allahabad Bank Kalupada Ghat Branch under Tangi police limits in Khordha district last night.
The incident came to light after the bank staff reached the Branch in the morning and found the grills of a door located at the backside of the branch broken. After entering into the bank premise they found the computer on the cashier’s desk missing along with several other documents kept in his drawers.
“After reaching the Branch at around 9.40 AM I found the gate locks broken. The locks of the cash vault was also found damaged pointing at a failed attempt of the robbers to steal cash from it,” informed Jatin Kumar Behera, Branch Manager.
Tangi Police reached the spot after getting intimation on the loot and started an investigation. They are examining the CCTV footage available in the Branch which shows a looter with his faces covered near the cash vault.
