Bargarh: Tension ran high in Budhapali village under Padmapur police limits in the district on Friday after dead body of a minor girl was found hanging from a tree in mysterious conditions.
The deceased has been identified as Mamata Luha, daughter of Bikram Luha of the same village.
Mamata who went to bed after dinner last night went missing from her house subsequently and was found hanging to a Mahula tree by a stole in the village this morning. Some locals spotted the deceased and informed his family members following which a case was lodged with police.
Police rushed the body for autopsy after reaching the spot and started an investigation.
On the other hand the family members of the deceased have claimed that she has been murdered as her feet were seen touching the ground.
