Jharsuguda: A 17-year-old girl was electrocuted to death in Pipilimal village under Belpahar police limits in the district on Saturday.
The deceased minor has been identified as Deepanjali.
The mishap took place at around 8 AM in the morning while the victim was busy in some work at her house. She fell unconscious immediately after touching a live wire unknowingly and suffering an electric shock.
While family members rushed the minor to a private hospital in Belpahar later in the morning, she succumbed there under treatment.
Belpahar Police seized the body for autopsy at Jharsuguda DHH and lodged a case of unnatural death in the incident.
