Sundergarh: A minor girl was allegedly raped and later on forced for abortion in Raiboga village under Birmitrapur police limits in Sundergarh. A case has been filed against the doctor, cops and the step-father of the victim. As many as six persons who are involved in the crime.
According to reports the 13-yr-old victim, a resident of Raiboga Panchayat was found to be pregnant. On June 24, after she was found to be pregnant, the Birmitrapur Inspector-in -Charge (IIC) allegedly took her to the Birmitrapur Community Health Centre(CHC) and got her aborted. Later on the victim was lodged at the Child line Shelter Home.
After inquiry, a police team recorded the victim’s statement at the Child line shelter unit.
As the victim stated, she was continuously raped for some months. After the Collector’s instructions, a case was registered at District Child Protection Unit.
Based on complaint, a case has been registered against a doctor, 2 cops including Birmitrapur in-charge, her step-father and friends of her father. The SP of Sundergarh visited the victim and has initiated a further probe.
