Minor Girl Allegedly Abducted And Forced Into Prostitution In Odisha

Kendrapara: A minor girl who was allegedly abducted from Rajnagar area in the district today alleged that she was forced into prostitution. The girl was rescued from Balasore today.

The father of the girl has earlier lodged a missing complaint with the Talachua Marine police station on June 30. The victim alleged that she was abducted by a woman in her neighbourhood.

“She later took me to a house in Balasore and confined me there. Her husband raped me several times and also forced me to indulge me in prostitution. I somehow managed to draw the attention of the neighbours and managed to call my father,” alleged the girl.

The father of the victim informed the matter to the local police which rescued the girl from a house in Balasore. “We have recorded the statement of the victim and have sent her for medical examination. We have also detained two persons in this connection. Further investigation in the case is continuing,’ said a police official.
