Minor Fined Rs 26,000 For Violation Of Traffic Rules In Capital Of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Driving a bike without a driver’s license proved to be expensive for a minor boy in Bhubaneswar. According to the law, his bike was confiscated and fined Rs 25,000.

The RTO-1 caught the minor during a checking in Chandrasekharpur area yesterday for various violation.

Similarly, the pillion rider with the minor was fined an additional of Rs 1,000 for not wearing a helmet. A total of Rs 26,000 has been deducted in the name of the minor.

The RTO informed that the minor was from Bhimtangi area.

After the imposition of the Motor vehicle act the checking has become rigorous in the capital city. The checking has become very strict and the fines very high.

This is the third such case of juvenile detention since the law was tightened.
