Angul: A minor residing at Jindal Steel Plant Limited (JSPL) committed suicide late Monday night over some family dispute. Upon discovering, the family members immediately rushed him to JSPL OHC Hospital where he was declared ‘brought dead’.
The minor, originally from Surat, Gujrat, resides with his family at quarter no. 6/6. His father works at JSPL’s SMM steel supply shop. The minor, a boy, due to some yet-to-be-disclosed issue closed his room’s door and went on to hang himself on a fan at his residence. His family discovered sometime later and immediately informed the local police.
The police rushed him to JSPL OHC Hospital where he was declared ‘brought dead’. Minor’s body was then shifted to District Hospital. This has been declared as a case of ‘unnatural death’ and an investigation is underway.
