Minor Boy Slapped Penalty Of Rs 29,000 For MV Act Violations In Odisha

Sambalpur: A minor boy was slapped a penalty of Rs 29,000 for MV Act violations at Paramanpur village of Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Friday.

Officials of Regional Transport Office (RTO) of Sambalpur imposed the fine on the 13-year-old boy after catching him riding the bike with two pillion riders. Later, during inspection, they found him violating several other rules of the MV Act.

The minor was fined Rs 1000 for riding more than two persons on the bike (OD15L2049), which is owned by one Jamanta Hati of Tabala village under Sason police limits of the district.

Likewise, he was fined Rs 2000 for plying without insurance and a Rs 15,000 fine was slapped on him for riding the vehicle being a minor.

Moreover, the boy, who is in class 8, has been asked to pay Rs 1000 for riding without a helmet.
