Rourkela: A 14-year-old boy had a miraculous escape after he was rescued 10 days after being trapped inside an overhead water tank in Bondamunda Railway Colony in Sundargarh district.
The boy hailing from Dumerta Cinema Toli village under Bondamunda police limits was missing from home since August 18.
He was rescued on Wednesday morning after few locals heard his screams and managed to rescue him from the water tank.
“I climbed the tank to catch a pigeon and later went inside it. However, I could not get out of the tank. Though I screamed for help no one came to my rescue. I managed to position myself as per the water level in the tank,” said the minor after being rescued.
