Keonjhar: A minor boy reportedly died after drowning in a pond at Chamarpasi village under Ghashipura police limits of Odisha’s Keonjhar district today. The deceased has been identified as Matul Hasda, son of Saheb Hasda of the village.
According to sources, Matul had gone to the pond along with his grandmother to take bath. Unfortunately, his legs slipped and he fell into the deep water.

Matul’s grandmother rescued him from the pond and informed the family members about it. Soon family members rushed Matul to Anandpur Hospital for treatment. However, doctor who attended him declared brought dead.
The body of the minor boy would be handed over to his family members after an autopsy, said sources adding that a case of unnatural death has been registered at Ghasipura police station.
