Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Department (MeT) on Thursday forecasted thunderstorm and lightning for eight districts of the state.
Khurdha, Cuttack, Koraput, Nayagarh, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Gajapati and Ganjam are the eight districts where the weatherman issued thunderstorm and lightning warning between 3 PM to 7 PM.
People of these districts have been asked to be vigilant and shelter themselves in safe locations as the latest Doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunderstorm accompanied with hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 50 to 60 kmph likely to occur over these districts.
