Bhubaneswar: The Regional IMD Centre has issued thunderstorm warning for nine districts of the state today.
As per a bulletin of the meteorological centre, thunderstorm accompanied with heavy wind gusting from 50-60 kmph would occur in Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts till 6.30 PM.
The weatherman also predicted the thunderstorm for Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack and Angul districts till 8.30 PM and till 9.30 PM for Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri districts.
People have been advised not to venture out of home during the adverse weather condition and have been told to take shelter in safe places.
