Met issues thunderstorm, lightning and rain alert for several districts of Odisha, Check details

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar-based Duty Officer of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued thunderstorm, lightning and rain alert for several districts.

Light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain likely to affect some parts of districts of Angul, Balasore, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Puri, Nuapada, Balangir, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack (including Cuttack City), Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jagatsingpur, Mayurbhanj, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Koraput, Malkangiri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur within next three hours.

People of these districts have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strikes.
