Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Department issued thunderstorm and lightning alerts for six districts till 8.15 PM today.
According to the weather report, thunderstorm and lightning have been forecasted in Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati and Nayagarh districts.
Gusty surface wind speed reaching up to 50 to 60 kmph is likely to occur in these districts.
The Met Department has also advised the people of these districts to take precautions during the adverse weather conditions and avoid going out.
