MeT Dept Predicts Rainfall In Odisha Over Next 3 Days

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Department (MeT) has predicted light to moderate rainfall and thundershower at a few places in the interior parts of Odisha, and at one or two places over some districts of coastal Odisha during the next three days.

The rain forecast comes after the mercury soared to 39 degree Celsius in Bhubaneswar and soaring past the 35 degree Celsius mark at many places in the state in the last few days.

According to the MeT department, a trap line has been formed over Odisha which will trigger rainfall; with wind speed reaching up to 40-50 kmph. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea during this period.

The Weather forecast also informed that thunderstorm with gusty wind and lightning may occur at one or two places in districts like Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Nuapada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal in the next 24 hours.
