Bhubaneswar: The regional MeT centre of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued lightning and thunderstorm alert for 6 districts of Odisha on Wednesday.
As per the forecast, thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and moderate rain is like to occur at some places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Balasore and Bhadrak district today.
The IMD further informed that conditions are becoming favourable for further advancement of Southwest Monsoon into more parts of Central Arabian Sea, Karnataka, some parts of south Konkan & Goa, Andhra Pradesh, remaining parts of Tamil Nadu, some more parts of Bay of Bengal, remaining parts of North-east India, some parts of West Bengal, Sikkim & Odisha in the next 3-4 days.
Conditions are becoming favorable 4 further advance of SW Monsoon into some more parts of Central Arabian Sea, Karnataka, some parts of south Konkan & Goa, AP, remaining parts of TN, some more parts of BoB, rem. parts of NE India, some parts of WB & Sik. & Odisha next 3-4 days.
