Bhubaneswar: In an evening weather forecast in the State, the IMD Regional Centre here has issued a thunderstorm and rainfall warning for at least 6 districts of Odisha till 9.30 PM today.
As per the weather bulletin, moderate thunderstorm with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 KMPH and lightning & light to moderate rainfall likely to occur at some places over the districts like Nuapada, Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Sundargarh from 6.30 pm and 9.30 pm.
Notably, due to rain which lashed several parts in the State today, the mercury level went down significantly. Only Bolangir (41.2), Jharsuguda (41), Malkangiri (40) and Sambalpur (40.2) recorded a daytime temperature above 40 degree Celsius mark.
