MeT department predicts thundershower, lightning for 11 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here has issued thundershower and lightning alert for at least 11 districts of Odisha today.

As per the latest weather bulletin of the MeT Department, districts like Nuapada, Bolangir, Boudh, Sonepur, Kandhamal, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Angul, Deogarh, Sundergarh and Keonjhar are likely to experience moderate thundershower and lightning with one or two spells of intense rainfall at one or two places till 10.15 am.

Notably, the Weatherman has predicted heavy to very heavy rain at several places in Odisha for next three days yesterday. Such condition had been predicted in view of a low pressure formed over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal-Bangladesh coast.
