Winter is coming: Odisha to experience chilly weather from November 28

Bhubaneswar: The interior part of Odisha reportedly to experience severe cold from tonight while the coastal areas are likely to experience the same from November 28.

The minimum temperature may drop by five to six degree Celsius at the interior North, West, and South-West Odisha from today till November 26 night.

On the other hand, the night temperature in southern coastal along with adjoining districts are likely to drop by six degrees Celsius between November 26 and November 28. Severe cold is expected to be felt across the state on November 28.

The mercury dropped to 15 degrees Celsius in Daringibadi yesterday. Koraput recorded a low of 19 degrees Celsius, Boudh recorded 20 degrees Celsius, 20.3 degrees Celsius in Titilagarh and 20.5 degrees Celsius in Phulbani.

It is to be noted that another low pressure is likely to occur as a cyclonic storm has formed on Southeast Bay of Bengal yesterday.

It is expected to intensify and form a low pressure in 24 hours. This is the fourth low pressure in the Bay of Bengal this month, added reports.

It will touch the coast of Tamil Nadu on November 29 and 30. As a result, there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms in coastal and southern Odisha on November 29.

According to weathermen, Odisha will not be affected due to this low pressure area. It has also been predicted that in the first week of December, the climate may change due to the continuous low pressures.

Hence, farmers have been advised to harvest their paddy by November.
