Bhubaneswar: The mercury in Odisha likely to drop even more from January 1, 2021. In the interiors of Odisha the temperature will drop by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius whereas in the coastal areas, the mercury will drop by 2 to 3 degrees.
As per reports, the Regional Meteorological Center in Bhubaneswar has issued yellow warning for some districts in Odisha for December 31, January 1 and January 2 which includes Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Angul, Boudh and Kandhamal.
Morning walk has been prohibited for the people and has been advised to stay indoors as much as possible.
Cold related ailments are likely to increase due to the cold waves and climate is expected to change after January 3, 2021.
