Angul: A mentally challenged man working in a coaching center in Aangul for the past 10 years was tied up and beaten up by the owner and another faculty member of the coaching center on Monday night.
The victim has been identified as Pankaj Swain, who was working with the coaching center ‘Science Point’. The owner of the coaching centre Akshaya kumar Samal and Tuku, a teaching faculty, allegedly locked up Pankaj in a room and thrashed him.
The family members of the victim rescued him from the coaching center after getting information about it. The mother of the victim, Pushpalata Swain has filed an FIR in the Angul police station against the two for having tortured his mentally challenged son.
It is still not clear why the owner assaulted Panlaj.
