Bhubaneswar: Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday urged her Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik to investigate and take swift action into the missing case of Kashmiri AIIMS student Suhail Aijaz.

Taking to her twitter handle Mehbooba said, “Concerning reports coming in about a Kashmiri student, Suhail Aijaz of Kupwara being kidnapped in Odisha. I request the authorities to investigate & take swift action.”

The Odisha Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), also replied to Mehbooba Mufti’s twit.

It is worthwhile to mention here that Suhail, who was studying in the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, has gone missing since February 9. The Commissionerate Police despite all efforts is yet to know his whereabouts.

Shockingly, some posters claiming to be of Maoists had surfaced here yesterday. The poster had claimed that the 19-year-old student has been kidnapped by the Maoists who would kill him if their jailed leader Sabyasachi Panda is not released immediately.

Suhail’s father and brother are here in the city ever since they knew about his mysterious missing.
