MCI gives nod for admission in four government medical colleges in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In an important development, the Medical Council of India (MCI) today gave its nod for admission into MBBS seats of all four new medical colleges of Odisha for the academic session 2019-20.

The enrollment of students in 100 MBBS seats each was allowed in Fakir Mohan Medical College & Hospital in Balasore district and Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital in Balangir district in the 2nd batch.

Similarly, intake of students was allowed in the 3rd batch in Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College & Hospital in Mayurbhanj district and Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College & Hospital in Koraput district in equal number of MBBS seats.

The permission was granted after MCI teams made a thorough inspection of the infrastructures at all these four colleges over past couple of months and the same will remain valid for a period of one year. The next batch of students will be admitted in the colleges after renewal of permissions by the MCI.
