Sambalpur: A girl MBBS student of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla, in Sambalpur district has attempted suicide by jumping off her hostel building late on Tuesday night. She is said to be a native of Visakhapatnam.
Reportedly, the girl is pursuing her first-year MBBS course at VIMSAR who jumped off the roof of the three-storyed hostel building.
She has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a critical condition. She is currently undergoing treatment.
On getting the information, the local police arrived at the spot and initiated a probe to ascertain the cause behind her suicide attempt.
