Matric Summative Assessment of BSE Odisha to begin tomorrow, See details

Bhubaneswar: The matric summative assessment-1 exams of Odisha Board of Secondary Education will begin tomorrow, informed Odisha BSE President. The exams will be held in two sittings for four days.

Reportedly, the question papers have been sent to 311 nodal centres (including 22 PS). A total of 5.76 lakh students will be appearing for the exams in 3093 centres.

More than 100 flying squads have been constituted to keep a check on the illegal activities at various exam halls. Mobile phones are not allowed at exam centres.

During the annual exam, in case the lockdown returns to State due to Covid cases, the students can stay at home and take the test, added Board of Secondary Education.

Meanwhile, Odisha School and Mass Education minister Samir Ranjan Dash said that the district administrations are fully prepared for SA-1 exams. The exams will begin in a disciplined manner and will conclude timely, said Dash.

He further said that this assessment is based on a new formula that will help students in their careers.

It is to be noted that isolation centres have been set up at every exam centres. The candidates will not be allowed to sit for the SA-1 exam if detected with Covid-19.
