Bhubaneswar: With the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha all set to hold the annual Matric Examination 2019 in the state today, the nodal centres completed dispatch of the question papers to the examination centres this morning.
As per the BSE sources, around 703 dispatch teams which had been assigned with the question paper transportation accomplished their duty between 6 am and 8.30 am in the morning.
While in adherence to an earlier notification by the BSE authorities, the students were allowed to enter the examination halls around 9 am, tight security was put up in and around the examination centre to ensure fare practice.
Notably, the First Sitting of the Matric Examination will start at 10 am this morning after the first layer seal opening of the question packets at 9.30 am in the strong room of examination centres and the second layer in the exam hall in the presence of students.
The BSE has disallowed mobile phones into the examination halls this year for students as well as staffs. They have been told to keep the cell phones in Switched Off mode in case of carrying due emergency reasons.
