Bhadrak: A constable of Bhandaripokhari police station has allegedly tried to physically abuse a woman in Bhadrak district of Odisha.
The accused has been identified as Haramohan Nayak.
According to reports, the woman’s husband was arrested on March 13 for some unknown reason after which he had called his wife from the constable’s mobile. He was sent to jail as his bail was denied.
Later, the alleged accused constable repeatedly called the woman following which he reached at her home and tried to physically abuse her.
Thereafter the locals rushed to her home when they heard her screaming and Haramohan was detained by them.
The woman filed a complaint with the Bhandaripokhari police. The cops have detained the accused and initiated an investigation into the matter.
