Keonjhar: Ghatagaon police have arrested two persons for allegedly raping a 50 year old married woman Wednesday night.
The accused have been identified as Singarai Munda and Sailendra Munda. Police said that the accused and the victim belong to the same village.
The victim alleged that both the accused came in inebriated condition and forcibly took her inside a forest while she was returning from her home.
“The victim lodged a police complaint on Thursday and subsequently we nabbed both the accused,” said a police official.
Earlier on December 7, a married woman was allegedly gang-raped by four men under Ainthapali police limits in Sambalpur district. Police later arrested four persons in this connection.
