Kendrapara: In a bizarre kind of incident, a married man has hung himself to death over failed love in Jadupur village under Marshaghai police limits in Kendrapara district last night.
The deceased identified as Narayan Mallik of Mulasain village under Pattamundai area was found hanging to a tree at Jadupur Chhak this morning and was spotted by some locals, who later called up police.
After Marshaghai Police reached the spot and carried out the preliminary investigation a bag belonging to the deceased was found lying nearby. A suicide note was also recovered from the spot mentioning about the cause of the death.
In the suicide note, the deceased has mentioned that despite being married for the past couple of years he fell in love with a local girl which later came out to be a failure. After remaining in mental stress he finally decided to hang himself to death, informed police.
The body of the deceased has been sent for autopsy and an investigation is underway in the case.
