Jagatsinghpur: A drunken youth has allegedly beaten five people in a marriage function in Puja Kalinga village under Radhanga panchayat in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha.
The injured has been identified as Brahmananda Nayak and his relatives.
According to reports, the drunken man ,Prabhat Raut, who belongs to the same village went to attend Brahmananda’s daughter’s marriage.
Being in an inebriated state Prabhat started beating Nayak,three of his relatives and his neighbour with an iron rod due to some unknown reason.
On being informed, the Raghunathpur police arrived at the spot and rescued them. Raut has been arrested by the cops.
As Brahmananda and his relatives sustained critical injuries, they were immediately rushed to the Jagatsinghpur Hospital for medical treatment.
