Marriage procession turns tragic as tent house owner killed in Odisha

Puri: In a tragic incident, a tent house owner has been allegedly killed by DJ worker in Bedapur village under Gop block in Puri district late on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Papu Pradhan of Erabanga village.

Reportedly, a marriage procession was taking place in Gop following which a heated argument erupted between the tent house owner and DJ owner as the tent cloth tore after coming in contact with the music DJ vehicle.

Thereafter, the argument later escalated and the DJ worker killed the tent house owner in an enraged state of mind.

On getting the information, the Gop police arrived at the spot and recovered the body. All the vehicles were detained and the cops initiated an investigation into the alleged murder case. The accused DJ worker has absconded from the crime spot and a manhunt has been initiated to apprehend him.

Meanwhile, the locals of Erabanga village have staged a road blockade on the Pipili-Konark road in Begunia.
