Maoists set JCB machines on fire in Kandhamal

Kandhamal: Maoists have set two JCB machines on fire at Kiamunda village under Phiringia police limits of Kandhamal district late on Monday night.

Reportedly, the two machines belonged to Trishakti firm that was engaged in road construction work from Nuapadar to Pindangi, said police.

However, no injury has been reported as nobody was present at the construction site.

They have left behind a poster at the spot threatening to boycott the ensuing panchayat polls.

The locals immediately informed to the police. On getting the information, Phiringia police arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation into the case.
