Koraput: An exchange of fire took place between Maoists and Security forces at Hatibari forest range under Nandapur Police limits in Koraput district on late Wednesday night.
As per reports, the gunfight took place during a combing operation. After a brief confrontation with the security forces, the red rebels went into hiding.
Koraput SP Kanwar Vishal Singh informed that no casualties have been reported and the combing operation is still underway. However, he refused to divulge further details owing to security concerns.
