Maoists release posters to kill BJD’s Daspalla MLA candidate

Nayagarh: Unleashing Red-fear among people in the district ahead of the upcoming election, posters purportedly released by Maoists surfaced in Kuanria area under Daspalla police limits here this morning.

The posters undersigned the outlawed CPI (Maoist) group, were found pasted on the boundary wall of Kuanria Deer Park and was spotted by some locals in the wee hours. They immediately intimated the matter to police.

In the posters, the Red rebels issued a death warrant to BJD’s Daspalla MLA candidate Ramesh Behera and threatened to blow up Daspalla, Nuagaon and Gania police stations along with Nayagarh court between March 25-April 10 this year.

While, Daspalla Police has seized the posters after reaching the spot, IIC Biswajit Routray said the authenticity of the posters will be examined and proper action will be taken against the accused.
