Maoists put up posters opposing PM Modi’s Odisha visit

Malkangiri/Cuttack: Maoists posters have been found at Kalimela area in the district today opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Odisha on Saturday.

In a poster written in Odia script, the South Sub-Zonal Bureau of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) alleged that Modi does not want development of SC, ST and minority people of the state; instead, he will sell various mines of the state to the foreign countries.

Notably, the Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive Cuttack city in Odisha tomorrow to attend a public rally on completion of four years of the BJP-led government at the Centre. He will address the nation at Bali Jatra Ground in Cuttack to highlight the BJP government’s achievements in last four years.

On the other hand, Opposition Congress has announced to stage demonstration during the Prime Minister’s visit protesting the recent unprecedented rising of petrol and diesel prices.

Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been made by the Commissionerate police in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack for Modi’s visit.
