Maoists kill youth in Praja Court on suspicion of ‘police informer’ in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Maoist killed a youth on suspicion of ‘police informer’ at Jantri village in the cut-off area of Chindrakonda of the district on Thursday.

According to reports, a group of red rebels conducted a ‘Praja court’ (people’s court) in the village this morning where they killed one Sukra Muduli allegedly on suspicion of ‘police informer’.

Sources said that the deceased youth was earlier given death threat by the Maoists and asked to stop working for the police.

People of the area are now in a state of fear over the killing of Muduli. Besides, they have been warned by the members of the outlawed group to refrain from providing information to the cops or else face the same consequences like Muduli.
