Maoists Kill 2 Men Over Suspicions Of Being Police Informers

Malkangiri: Maoists allegedly killed two persons near the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border on Wednesday, over suspicions of being police informers.

The incident took place in Chintapali block of Andhra Pradesh’s Vishakhapatnam district, a few kilometers away from Odisha-AP border.

The deceased have been identified as Gammela Bhaskar Rao and Pangi Sati Babu of Birbaram village.

As per reports, the duo were shot dead after being called out from their house in the night by a group of red rebels.

Furthermore, Maoists belonging to the Malkangiri-Koraput-Vizag (MKV) Border division put up posters in the village, threatening people with dire consequences if they tried to help the cops.

After being informed, the police reached the spot and seized the posters. A probe into the incident has been initiated.
