Maoists call Odisha bandh on Oct 21 over Kunduli gang rape

Bhubaneswar: Maoist on Tuesday called for a state-wide bandh in Odisha on October 21 over the Kunduli gang rape incident.

According to reports, the Ghumusara-Nagabali-Vansadhara Committee of the red rebels has called for the bandh protesting the gang rape of the minor girl and demanding arrest of the accused involved in the heinous crime.

Earlier on Saturday, the Maoist group, through an audio tape, had claimed that they had no role in the crime. Besides, they had observed a bandh in Koraput district yesterday.

The police are still clueless about the accused of ninth class student rape case of Sorisapadar village even after seven days of the crime.
